Fluoxetine is an SSRI (selective serotonin reuptake inhibitor) antidepressant used for both humans and animals. For dogs, fluoxetine is used to treat behavioral disorders including separation anxiety, aggression, generalized anxiety, and inappropriate urination or marking. Often, fluoxetine is considered most effective when paired with an appropriate training method.
